Ball joints deteriorate if dirt, grit, and road grime enter the joint, increasing friction. Suspension joints are also subject to extreme forces as part of the suspension system and should be monitored for wear accordingly, particularly if you frequently drive on uneven road surfaces.
If you hear clunks, creaks or feel unpredictable steering then your ball joints could be worn and need to be inspected. They should allow smooth lateral movement but not wiggle or jolt up and down.
Use our number plate lookup feature to make sure you can find the correct ball joint for your car and shop our range of Quinton Hazell suspension parts.
