Use the numberplate lookup tool to shop our range of Driveline and Carlube transmission fluids
If your transmission is low on fluid or has old gear oil, this can lead to increased wear in your gearbox. This can reduce the longevity of one of your car’s most critical components and full gearbox replacements are costly and time-consuming.
Gearbox oil doesn’t need replacing too often, it’s usually recommended to change every 30,000 to 60,000 miles for manual transmissions or every 100,000 miles for automatic vehicles. This could be more frequent if you drive in the city frequently and need to change gears more often. If your transmission whines or crunches when changing gears, it may indicate your oil needs replacing, as could your gears slipping.
